Scandinavian Spring: March in Norway

March has it all! The snow, the spring, the flowers, the sun... It is a rich, vibrant month, carrying new aromas, views and vibrant colors on the wings of the spring wind. Once it was even the first month of the year exactly because of the awakening it brings.

March in Southern Norway has been a good friend this year - warm and gentle. We already forgot the crocuses but still expect the daffodils. And here I am, in between flowers, on the ground (again) with my camera. The buzz of the bees reminds me there is much work to be done and I walk away to the next sunny spot and the next perfect setting for a photo.

    Seriously, Norway is gorgeous. I love these photo posts.

    March was ridiculous here in Chicago. It's normally about 50 degrees this time of year, but we had a couple of weeks in the 80s. It's a little cooler now, but it was so weird.

    Our March has been a mixed bag here in Los Angeles this year. Warm, cold, wet...but we do need the moisture, we've had a very dry winter. It's almost done now and then on to April!! (I like March though...it's my birthday month, today actually!! ;-)

      I sometimes think that too. But then I try to get down to earth and be too showy about it :D

    Your town looks so peaceful. Gorgeous photos, as always! Spring has brought with it many allergies for me. I'm having a much worse reaction this year for some reason, but the weather has been beautiful.

    Breathtaking, especially that gorgeous blue sky. Although that field of crocuses was lovely too. We've also had a mild March, although today Mother Nature reminded us that the cold weather isn't completely gone yet. Some snowflakes made for a lovely backdrop this morning. :)
