Hands with Hearts Giveaway

There has come a time for an extraordinary giveaway on Kanelstrand. Do you remember when back in November 2011 I introduced Laurie of Do You Like My Hat? and the amazing story of how she chose the name of her etsy shop?

Today I have more news from her to share. Recently Laurie opened Hands with Hearts - her very own online yarn shop that is offering ONLY natural yarns for knitters and crocheters. There are thousands of online yarn shops but there is something more about this one. Laurie has committed to selling yarns and accessories from companies that care for the responsible development of people, animals and the environment.

By buying even the tiniest skein of yarn from Hand with Hearts you will help support any one of these causes:
  • Encouraging environmentally friendly practices in yarn production
  • Encouraging small farmers, dyers and spinners
  • Protecting endangered species of animals
  • Supporting ethical treatment of animals
  • Supporting health and education for people in developing countries.

What is more, Laurie has committed to helping another noble initiative. She is on a mission to knit 500 squares by June 1, 2012 and help at least a few AIDS orphans in Africa. When you join the project and send Laurie your squares, you will be getting a discount coupon to any of the yarns she is offering in Hands with Hearts.

But wait, there's more! Today Laurie has offered the most generous giveaway yet on Kanelstrand.

A set of knitting supplies worth $125 for just one of you!

One lucky Kanelstrand reader will receive:

One Artyarns Shawl for all Seasons Kit in the color of your choice (1 skein of Rhapsody light - a gorgeous silk and mohair blend, and 3 different color skeins of Beaded Silk Light Sequins)

One pattern for the shawl in knit.

Or one pattern of the shawl in crochet.

One pair of Square circular needles or a crochet hook.

One Hands with Hearts store bag

In other words, you will get everything and a little bit more to devote to your passion, be it knitting or crocheting.

To participate in this giveaway just follow the Rafflecopter widget. The giveaway is open worldwide until March 14th. If you fail to follow any of the mandatory entries you will not be eligible to win.

Good luck!
